Test overview

What is this?

The test overview shows every test sequence in the organization in one place — running, completed, and planned — with customer, project, test object, and due date per row. Unlike "Tasks" (your own open test items), it shows the sequence as a whole rather than the individual test step.

How to use it

  • Sections: Three tabs — "Running" (status In progress), "Planned" (not yet started, with a start date in the future), and "Completed" (Passed, Failed, Skipped, or Cancelled). For most sequences the status is derived automatically from the state of their test cases (a single failure counts as "Completed" right away, even if other test cases are still open) — only sequences with a manually set status follow the raw status column.
  • Filter: By customer and project, in addition to the text search over sequence and project names.
  • Due date: Shows the scheduled end, falling back to the scheduled start if no end is set.
  • Jump to the sequence: Clicking a row opens the sequence in its project.

Common issues

  • "A sequence doesn't appear in any section." Planned sequences without a start date don't appear in any of the three sections — they simply have no start date yet. It's still visible in the project itself.
  • "The customer is missing from the column." The sequence's project has no customer assigned — see customer management to add one.
  • "A sequence shows 'Pending' even though its test cases are already running or done." That would be a bug — with automatic status, the derived state of the test cases always drives both the tab and the status badge, never the sequence's own, often stale status column by itself.
