# Control room

## What is this?

The control room (Today → Control room) shows the live status of all test
stations on one page: which station is running a test, which one is free,
which one is in maintenance or out of service. It is meant for shift leads
and for a monitor in the lab. On the left is a compact table of all test
stations, on the right the details of the selected station with its live
measurements. The page requires the `stations:read` permission.

## How to use it

1. At the top are the counters per status: ● in use, ○ available,
▲ out of service, ◐ maintenance. Symbol and colour mean the same
   everywhere in TestLabIQ.
2. The table shows, per test station, the running test, the project, the
progress (as maintained on the test case) and how long the test has been
   running.
3. Clicking a station's name opens its details on the right: the running
test with progress and the live measurements currently arriving at that
station via REST or MQTT (see `messdaten`).
4. "Open test" jumps to the running test case, "Open station" to the
   station's detail page.

The selection is part of the address (`?station=…`) — you can share the link
or bookmark it for a lab monitor.

## Common problems

- **"A station shows 'In use' although I set it to available."** As soon as
a test case on an available station is "In progress", the station counts
as in use. Maintenance and "Out of service" always take precedence.
- **"The live measurements stay empty."** No measurements are currently
arriving at the station. Check that the connection is running and the
station's API key is valid (see `messdaten`, `mqtt-anbindung`).
- **"Stations are missing."** The control room shows at most the first 100
test stations (alphabetically); a note below the table gives the total.
All of them are listed under Lab → Test stations.
- **"The Control room menu entry is missing."** The `stations:read`
  permission is missing.
